Saint James's Church opened in 1829 and is the oldest Church of England church building in the town of Oldham. It is situated on Barry Street adjacent to the main Huddersfield Road. The current priest (Reverend Paul Plumpton) arrived in 1979.

 

Arrangements for Baptisms, Banns and Weddings can be made at the church

on Saturday mornings between 11 and 12, or at any other time by appointment.

 

The worship at Saint James's is Anglo Catholic and the Parish is affiliated to Forward in Faith, more information available at www.forwardinfaith.com
